After graduating from Ponce Beauty College in 1981, I began the most disciplined and rigorous apprenticeship at Yosh for Hair in Palo Alto and San Francisco. In June, 1985, only after achieving Senior Designer, Educator, and Platform Artist status, was I ready to open the first JAX Salon in downtown Palo Alto. To accommodate the growth of JAX, a larger salon was designed and built in 1992, also in downtown Palo Alto. The continued growth and success of JAX #2 provided an opportunity to purchase and develop a free-standing building on El Camino in Menlo Park, which became the home of the most custom salon in the Bay Area, JAX #3. Finally in August 2010 the fourth and final JAX Salon was born in downtown Menlo Park. It is by far the most sophisticated and exciting salon in our thirty-year history. After seeking advanced training on four continents and teaching hair color and cutting techniques from the West in fifteen countries, I am ready to share my thirty years of experience and service in this community with you. It is essential that each individual who works at JAX Salon upholds the integrity of the profession and maintains its elite standards.
